Just bought the Hieken Ashi Smoothed EA Pro.

Cannot get it to take any trades at all.

Same result with Hieken Ashi Smoothed EA Basic.

Do you have a suggested set file I could try and see if they will trade.

    Any help would be appreciated.

What broker, symbol and timeframe are you using?
Are you using the default settings?

In the pro version, have you tried to increase the SpreadFilter?

Do you see some errors in the journal or experts tab?

Sorry for the delayed reply. Been out of town.

    My broker is Forex.com.

Have used several different pairs and timeframes, but
the one shown below is GBPJPY and the 1 Hr. timeframe.

I have attached the last few entries from the journal.

As you can see, it indicates ( among other things)
    1. EA pro License is valid
    2. Cannot open file
    3. Heiken Ashi Smoothed indicator not found.

I have no clue as to how to resolve this.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The error says, the EA can’t find the Heiken Ashi Smoothed indicator.

Please download the indicator [https://quivofx.com/indicator/heiken-ashi-smoothed/] and copy it into the MQL4/indicators folder. NOT a subfolder.

He yannick, Me too I downloaded the HeikenAshi Smoothes EA basic and when i implemented it to my platform it gave me the same message as mentioned before namely “The EA can’t find the Heiken Ashi Smoothed indicator” so it doesn’t work and i don’t know why. Can you tell me what to do?? I have the indicator on the chart as well as it is in the indicator file under MQL4.

    Hi Ronaldo,

You need to download the smooth indicator from here: https://quivofx.com/indicator/heiken-ashi-smoothed/

And save it to your your indicator file. The easiest way to do this is to install MT4 in “Portable” mode! To do this, after installing MT4 do not open the platform, right click on the short cut on your desktop go to “Properties” under “Shortcut” tab find the “Target:” field, the field should have something like this “H:\Program Files (x86)\TW_Renko_6pip\terminal.exe” what you want to do is add /portable’ at the end so it looks like “H:\Program Files (x86)\TW_Renko_6pip\terminal.exe” /portable’ and click Apply and the bottom than you can close the properties window.

Please note in Windows 10 I’ve had to use a single quote ( ‘ ) rather than a double ( ” ) in older versions I could use a double so if after Applying it gives an error try a different quote, but it should be one or the other.

From now on MT4 will save all your info to that location rather than the one with the funky jiberish file location.

This also makes it much easier to load your MT4 to a server or take to another computer.

Now once you’ve set that up all you need to do is go to “Your Location”> MQL4> Indicators to save your indicators, script, Experts etc.

It should work like installing an EA, but instead of copying it into the /experts folder, you copy it into the /indicators folder.

Make sure you do not copy it into a subfolder of /indicators
