    Starting to use the Stochastic Oscillator Pro and noticed one quirk. The actual Stop Loss is set for 39, and not sure why it keeps changing it to 10. That includes if I change it on-screen, the EA changes it back to 10. The Take Profit setting does not get changed.

    Any ideas ?

    Attaching .set file.

    You are using the ATR Trailing function. This is probably why the EA modifies the SL.

    Please make a test with the ATR disabled.

    Yeah, thanks Yannick, I do have the ATR Trail function enabled to help with Trend alignment, but, I guess that’s not what it’s purpose is for ? Actually I was experimenting with it :

    UseAtrTrail=true
    AtrPeriod=18
    AtrMultiplier=1.0
    ATRStep=2

    So, I may be able to use it as an early warning system, you know, if I wanted to get out earlier, before my original Stop Loss hits, like a ‘fail safe?’

    Also, I was starting to think it could be one/either of the ‘Entry/Exit Strategies …?’

    Entry=entryStrategy=1
    buyEntryLevel=30
    sellEntryLevel=70

    Exit=exitStrategy=1
    exitOnNewBar=false
    buyExitLevel=70
    sellExitLevel=30

    I will test it to be sure.

    On point, bruh.

    Yes, this is what it is for. That’s why your trade was stopped out earlier.

    Also, I was starting to think it could be one/either of the ‘Entry/Exit Strategies …?’

    Yes, if you enabled an exit strategy, the trade could also be closed by it.

    Hey Yannick,

    For some reason, I’m not sure I understand how/why the Stochastics Pro EA doesn’t fire. Bought it back in January 2018, and having some issues with it. The actual Stochastics makes several crosses on the 60 minute chart.

    Yesterday, it fired, but thats’ having it sit there for a couple of weeks of expecting it to fire, but nothing. Tried setting it back to default, but nothing like the Stochastics Basic.

    Attaching the .set file, so please review and let me know what the problem/solution is.

    The MA Fitler is active in your settings. This prevents trade from beeing opened.

    I really encourage you to use the strategy tester to set the EA correctly.
    Just read this manual and you should be able to find the best settings for your setup:

    Are there any new version of this EA in the pipeline and what new features can we expect ?

    No, not at the moment.
    The next updates will be the MT5 EAs. They will include a lot more features by default.
